DressYourBody
Improving a live sewing-pattern store, page by page, without interrupting sales.
The context
DressYourBody is an existing online store. Every change had to improve the experience without breaking the journeys customers already used.
The challenge
Make pages easier to read on mobile and desktop, clarify the purchase journey and fix several technical issues in an existing WordPress and WooCommerce setup.
My role
- Review of the home page, shop, product pages, cart, checkout and gift cards.
- Figma mockups and comparisons shared with the founder before every change.
- Implementation on a staging site: child theme, CSS and PHP, Elementor, ACF.
- Fixes to the mobile menu, the 404 page, translations and responsive display.
Brand and context
An existing online shop selling sewing patterns, improved during a ten-week internship.
Homepage and shop
A more editorial homepage and a shop organised by garment type.
Product page and purchase
Format choice, cart, checkout and a reworked gift card page. Customer data is masked.
Mobile experience
The final site on a phone: one clear column and readable pages.
Method and quality
Each page went through Figma and staging before going live, with Lighthouse, WAVE and HTML checks.
“Ammar worked with seriousness and autonomy on DressYourBody. He fixed bugs, improved the site’s stability and made the experience clearer. He also taught me useful basics so I can manage the site more easily.”
